Dr Etienne Deysel

MBChB.PDD.SED* Sedationist/Anaesthetist  •  GMC No. 4562333

Etienne qualified form the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1989. He has focused on conscious sedation since 1991 in numerous clinics in South Africa. He moved to the UK in 2001 and has been providing conscious sedation ever since in private practice. In 2003, he attained his PDD.SED (postgraduate qualification in conscious sedation and pain control) from University of Stellenbosch, South Africa.

Etienne joined the Alexandra Dental team in 2017 to help with our nervous patients. He has been an instant hit with the team and patients with his calming, jovial and experienced nature. Whilst he controls the conscious intravenous (IV) sedation our dentist can focus on completing the dental treatments.

Etienne is called in to assist with our most phobic and nervous patients to help achieve a good oral health. His experience with sedation means our patients are relaxed and cooperative.

He undertakes further training including Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Paediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Immediate Life Support and Advanced Life Support.

Etienne also hold registration and affiliations with:
